Understanding and Dealing with Seizure Disorders
E.S.S. (Epilepsy Seizure and Safety)
The Epilepsy Association of Utah is committed to outstanding service in the community and as such we are happy to present the Epilepsy Foundation's ESS Mentoring Program.
As part of the program we provide trained speakers for community presentations to educate the public and help them understand more about epilepsy and it's effects. Through education they aim to improve the lives of the people who live with it. These speakers, also known as "mentors", are directly or indirectly affected by epilepsy. This service is provided at no cost to the community.
The presentations can be tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of each group and can offer personal experience and understanding. One will leave the in-service with more knowledge and empathy.
If you or anyone you know is interested in receiving an ESS presentation

Service Opportunities
It is important that we continue to augment our services for the over 20,000 people with epilepsy in Utah. Recently, our office has received several calls from people living in the Weber and Davis Counties who are seeking support for themselves and / or their family and friends. EAU is looking to identify someone that would be interested in being trained as a facilitator for a support group in this area. If you, or anyone you know, are interested in conducting monthly support group meetings, please call the fountation or contact us here.
